Lido Island is the thin stripe of land that separates Venice Lagoon from the sea, so lodging here you get both Venice city center and the shore side nearby.
Main interest locations such as San Marco square can be reached very easily in about 15 minutes by public boat service (24H a day). |
Lido itself has many historical as well as naturalistic places to visit such as Malamocco, San Nicolò, Alberoni beach, Pellestrina Island and Chioggia (that are not the common touristic destinations but are really worth the visit)!
